What was the decisive moment that led you to become an entrepreneur?
“I graduated 28 years ago, and throughout my professional journey, I have worked in clinics as well as providing home care. I have always been deeply dedicated to caring for people and advancing in my field. About five years ago, I felt the right time had come. After so many years of experience, learning, and professional maturity, I realized I was ready to take a bigger step: creating my own service space. It was a very conscious decision. I thought to myself, "Now I feel prepared and confident to build something that carries my identity and purpose." And so, this new phase of my professional life was born.”
What inspired you to follow this path, and what were the first steps?
“My greatest inspiration has always been the ability to make a difference in the lives of the people who trust my work. For me, care goes far beyond a procedure or treatment. There is a connection, a very genuine exchange with each patient. Seeing the results, the joy, the restored self-esteem, and the smiles of those who undergo my care is incredibly inspiring. That drives me every day. My first step was simple but very significant: I rented a small room to start. In the beginning, it was not easy, as is the case for many entrepreneurs, but with dedication, love for what I do, and a lot of persistence, the work grew. Today, I am very proud to have built the Alessandra Licos Institute, which has become a benchmark and relies on partners and associated professionals.”
What are the latest news and current projects for your business?
“I firmly believe that professional evolution must never stop. Therefore, I am always updating myself, seeking new knowledge, and keeping up with innovations in the field. I frequently participate in congresses, both as a speaker and as a learner, because I believe that learning and sharing knowledge are part of growth. A very special project we are developing is the "Women Who Bloom" (Projeto Mulheres que Florescem) project, a solidarity initiative aimed at women undergoing cancer treatment. Once a month, we dedicate a special day to offer health care, aesthetics, and a welcoming environment to these women. Additionally, we are structuring a new educational project: the creation of a specialization in injectables for already-graduated professionals, with the goal of sharing knowledge and contributing to the training of new professionals in the area.”
What advice would you give to someone just starting out?
“If I could go back in time, I would tell my past "self" that I did well to wait until I felt prepared. Every phase of life has its time, and today I am very grateful for the entire journey I have built. For those starting now, my advice is simple: start. Do not wait for the perfect scenario or the ideal place. No matter how or where, the most important thing is to take the first step. Regardless of the type of business, trust your potential, put love into what you do, and dedicate yourself truly. When there is purpose and dedication, paths begin to open up.”
