The Journey of Resilience and Excellence in the Eyebrow and Micropigmentation Industry

In the competitive market of eyebrow and micropigmentation services, building a solid brand requires more than talent; it demands business vision, continuous improvement, and quantifiable results. The journey of Marília Canto, an entrepreneur, mentor, and professional with 9 years of experience in the sector, perfectly illustrates this premise. Seeking greater autonomy and control over her time management, she structured her aptitude for eyebrow design into a highly profitable business model.

With an approach based on excellence and rigorous professional training, Marília expanded her service portfolio to encompass micropigmentation. Her operational metrics attest to her technical competence and resilience in the market: over 6,500 practical procedures have been performed throughout her career.

In addition to her direct aesthetic practice, she has developed a strong educational branch, acting prominently as an instructor and mentor. Through this initiative, she has trained over 1,000 students in in-person modalities. Her teaching method focuses not only on technique but also on preparing them to solve real market problems, providing the necessary knowledge for other professionals to achieve financial independence in a secure and structured way.

Below, we present the full interview, in which the specialist details her strategic vision and the development of her business.

Marília Canto | Exclusive Interview

What was the decisive moment (of pain, loss, breakage, or problem), or lack thereof, that made you decide to become an entrepreneur/business owner?

"The decisive moment came from my desire to have more freedom over my time and to be more present in my children's lives. I have always had a passion for the aesthetics field, and I found in eyebrow design an opportunity to turn this dream into a profession. I started by serving clients and, with a lot of study and dedication, I also expanded my practice to micropigmentation. Today, I have 9 years of experience in the field."

What inspired you to follow this path, and what were the first steps?

"My inspiration has always been to help other women feel more confident and value their own beauty. I began by offering eyebrow design services and investing heavily in professional training. Over time, I expanded my services to micropigmentation and also started sharing my knowledge through courses. Today, I am very proud to be an instructor and mentor to over 1,000 in-person students, helping other women achieve financial independence through aesthetics."

So, how do you deal with failure or the mistakes made along the way?

"Throughout my journey, I learned to view every mistake as an opportunity for growth. I always made it a habit to write down every difficulty or challenge I faced at the beginning of my career. This became very important because today I can teach my students not only the right path but also prepare them for situations that may happen in practice. This way, when a difficulty arises, they already know how to act and resolve it confidently. I believe that sharing real experiences is one of the most honest and valuable ways to teach, and this is part of how I conduct my work as an instructor and mentor."

Currently, what are the latest news/launches in your business/company, and what major projects/launches are planned for the upcoming year of 2026?

"Currently, I continue to invest in professional development and new eyebrow and micropigmentation techniques. Throughout my career, I have performed over 6,500 procedures, which has given me a lot of practical experience. For 2026, my goal is to further expand my work as a specialist, instructor, and mentor, reaching more students and helping more women transform their lives through the aesthetics field."

If you could go back in time, what would you say to your beginner entrepreneurial "self"? What important advice would you give to someone who is just starting out?

"I would tell her to believe in herself more and trust the process. In the beginning, everything may seem difficult, but with dedication, study, and persistence, the results will come. I would also say to never forget that true success lies in transforming people's lives—whether through clients' self-esteem or the training of new professionals. Everything is always about others."
